The Harry Potter Series by J.K. Rowling
I don’t think anyone sees Harry Potter as anything but a series, and picking a favorite would be like asking a mother to pick a favorite child. So I write about this series as a complete story, not as a compilation of books, and with that, I will warn you; these are more than books. It feels unnatural to review them as such, because they are so much more than just books on a shelf. J.K. Rowling has literally created an entire multi-faceted world of wonders for her readers to return to again and again, full of characters and places that have become our friends and our homes away from home. Ask almost anyone who grew up between 1998 and 2011, and they’ll have at least a basic knowledge of the lives of our heroes, Harry, Ron, and Hermione. It’s truly the emblem of our generation, raising its die-hard fans into the creative minds of the future. Through the books, the movies, and every fan-made creation thereafter, we the fans have a world of our own in Harry Potter. If you haven’t read it, by all means go pick it up and read the story of the boy who lived right now. But I’m willing to bet a reasonable amount of money that you already have.

Welcome to my new blog!

Hi, I'm Gillian, and this is my blog. I'm probably going to talk about anything and everything, so pick and choose as you will. I like music and movies and books and TV shows and basically anything that's not sports, so I'm gonna go a bit wild.

We'll see how this all turns out.

Thanks for coming along for the ride.
